These lights are decent for creating a soft glow, but I was hoping for a bit more brightness. Even on the highest setting, they're more decorative than functional for illuminating an area. The 40-hour battery life seems accurate if you use the dimmer, but full brightness doesn't last quite as long in my experience. The detachable battery is convenient, but the overall light output is just okay.
These lights add a lovely glow to our backyard evenings.
The 44-foot length was just right for circling my entire gazebo, and the 20 bulbs provide a good amount of light without being too harsh. I appreciate the dimming option. The detachable battery unit is handy for charging indoors on cloudy days.

The solar panel on these lights seems inadequate. Even after a full day in direct sunlight, the battery only lasts a few hours, not close to the 40 advertised. I have to charge it via USB constantly, which defeats the purpose of solar lights.
