I have a long-haired Shih Tzu prone to mats, and while this spray helps a little, it doesn't magically melt away severe tangles. I still need to work at them quite a bit, even with a good brush. For lighter knots, it's fine, but I was hoping for more potent detangling. The scent is nice, though.
Got this for my Bernese Mountain Dog, whose thick coat can be a nightmare to maintain. Applying this before brushing really helps work through any knots and leaves his fur feeling incredibly soft. The shine it imparts is also very noticeable, making him look very healthy and well-groomed. It's a great addition to our routine.
Using this on my two German Shorthaired Pointers has been fantastic. Their coats feel so much softer, and the detangling aspect is noticeable, especially after they've been running through the bushes. The fresh scent is subtle and clean, not overpowering, which I appreciate. Definitely helps reduce static buildup in their short, dense fur.
My miniature poodle has very fine, curly hair that mats easily, and this spray just didn't cut it. I still had to pull out a lot of knots even after liberal application. It felt like I was just adding moisture without much detangling power.
The detangling effect is decent, but the fresh scent is stronger than I prefer.
