Good quality, minor slipping
The 2.25" size is generally good, but they sometimes slip if not cinched very tight.
The Grip Trex dog boots set the standard in paw wear for dogs who hike, bike, run, or explore the great outdoors with their humans. With the Grip Trex, those paws can go the distance thanks to the rugged and resilient Ruffwear-designed Vibram outsole with exceptional traction and protection on varied terrain. Breathable mesh upper provides ventilation, and the closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit. It's a good idea to check the closure system and adjust fit as needed 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure. Getting started with Ruffwear boots? Check out our helpful tips. The 1.50" was a bit small and the 1.75" a little large for my dog.
I've tried so many boots that just slip off. These 3.25" Red Sumac boots actually stay on my active Rottweiler. We hike for miles and they don't budge.
My high-energy golden retriever loves to run off-leash in wooded areas, and his paws were constantly getting scraped. We got the 2.5" in Red Sumac, and these boots have been fantastic. The Vibram soles are extremely tough, and the closure system really keeps them in place, even through mud and bushes. He seems very comfortable in them too.
The material of the 2.0" boots felt a little rigid for my dog's comfort initially.
