Good, but coarse texture
Great flavor profile, but definitely a coarse grind which impacts some uses.
Our Cloud Forest Cardamom is sweet and tart, reminiscent of summer fruits, fresh herbs and cut grass. It comes straight from a single-estate regenerative farm in the high-altitude cloud forests of Guatemala. The fruit turns yellow as it ripens on the vine and has a softer and sweeter flavor that makes it a perfect upgrade to standard green cardamom. This ground cardamom is made from whole pods ground into a coarse powder, which has the added benefit of thickening dishes, thanks to the cardamom pod's husk. You may need to grind it further into a finer powder texture if it's not going to go through a long cooking process (like with baked goods). Looking for whole cardamom pods? We've got 'em here. Looking for cardamom seeds? They're here.

This cardamom has an incredible depth of flavor. The sweet and tart notes, along with hints of fresh herbs, truly come through in my cooking. I've been using it in everything from curries to a simple cardamom-infused rice, and it brings a vibrant, complex aroma that transforms the dish. It's noticeably superior to any other ground cardamom I've used before.
The sweet and fresh notes really make my homemade chai stand out.
The Cloud Forest Cardamom is truly special. I've used it in both sweet applications, like cardamom buns, and savory dishes, such as a spiced lentil soup, and it shines in both. The flavor profile is so much more nuanced than any other ground cardamom I've tried, with clear notes of summer fruits and fresh herbs. The coarser grind also gave my soup a nice, subtle thickening effect, which was a pleasant surprise.
Truly wonderful cardamom, the sweet and tart notes are perfectly balanced.
