While the flavor of the oil is decent, I found there was an overwhelming amount of oil compared to the actual crunchy bits. It felt like I was mostly getting flavored oil rather than the desired chili crunch. I had to drain a lot of the oil to get to the solids, which was messy and inconvenient.
I can't imagine my fridge without this now. The umami combined with the perfect crunch makes it so versatile. It's a must-have for elevating simple dishes like rice and scrambled eggs.
The chili crunch itself is delicious, with a really satisfying savory and garlicky flavor. I love the texture it adds to my noodles. My only small issue is that the 5.2 oz jar goes by too quickly with how much I use it!
