This coffee was incredibly disappointing. I was expecting rich dark chocolate and berry notes, but all I tasted was a generic, somewhat burnt flavor. There was no real character to it, and it definitely didn't blend well with milk as promised; it just tasted watered down. I bought the 2lb bag and regret the purchase.

This Monarch blend has a fantastic deep flavor that is exactly what I look for in a dark roast. The chocolate notes are prominent and satisfying. It brews consistently well in my French press.
