We decided to go light on the sugar which lets the cacao and spices shine and makes it easy to sweeten to your perfect level. Simmer 2 Tbsp with 1 cup of milk to make a rich mug of hot cocoa. We also recommend stirring it into coffee or using it in place of cocoa powder for baking. Because it’s made only from real ingredients — no thickeners, dairy powders, emulsifiers or artificial flavors — some sediment may settle at the bottom of the cup. Ordered the 21 oz container and it's lasting me a while. The taste is incredibly rich and authentic, a true upgrade from the instant mixes. The Nyanza vanilla really comes through beautifully.
I tried using this for hot chocolate, but it wasn't quite what I hoped for as a drink. The cinnamon felt a little too dominant. It worked much better when I stirred it into my coffee or used it in a brownie recipe, though.
