The superfine merino wool is definitely soft and feels premium, which is a big plus. However, I found the sizing a bit off from what I usually wear. I got my usual XL, and while the shoulders are fine, the body felt wider than expected for a relaxed fit, making it look a bit boxy on me. I followed the care instructions, so it wasn't shrinkage.
The softness of this merino wool is amazing.
Got the Rye in size L, and it fits exactly as described—relaxed but not baggy. The superfine merino wool is incredibly soft and not itchy at all, which is important for me. This will definitely be a go-to for cooler weather.
The quality of the wool is great and it feels good on, but the relaxed fit is a little more relaxed than I prefer. I'm usually a large, and while the L fits, it just feels a bit too loose around the waist for my taste. Might try a size down next time.
I bought this sweater for my husband in his usual size M. He says it's extremely comfortable and the waffle knit adds a nice texture. He's really particular about wool, but this one passed his test for softness.
