This Vessi Trinity jacket has quickly become my favorite. The soft knit material makes it stand out from typical crunchy rain shells, and it's surprisingly effective in heavy rain. I'm usually a size M, and the relaxed fit is perfect for layering a light sweater. It keeps me totally dry and comfortable, even on longer walks.
The jacket does a good job of keeping rain out, and the material is soft. However, even with the relaxed fit, it feels boxy and the arms are quite long for my frame, making it less comfortable than I hoped.
The balance of waterproof protection and breathability is just right. I stay dry without getting overheated, which is a common problem with other rain jackets.
So much softer than my old rain jackets, and it actually works.
