Living where winters get serious, I needed something reliable, and this jacket delivers. The recycled polyester fill is surprisingly effective, providing ample warmth without being overly bulky. It handles light snow and sleet well thanks to the DWR finish. This is a significant upgrade from my previous winter coat, which struggled to keep me truly comfortable below freezing. Would recommend for anyone facing real winter conditions.
The jacket is undeniably warm, and the Beetle / Loganberry color looks great in person. My main issue is the relaxed fit; I usually wear a Large, but this Large feels a little too baggy around the torso, even with layers. It doesn't quite have the tailored feel I was hoping for, making it feel less practical for active use. It's okay for standing around, but I wish the fit was a bit more refined.
This jacket keeps me incredibly warm even when it's really cold out. The relaxed fit means I can layer a fleece underneath without feeling restricted. It's also much lighter than I expected for how much insulation it packs.
Bought this for my husband in the Pond Blue / Beetle color, and he loves it. He mentioned the recycled nylon shell feels really durable and it's definitely kept him toasty. The sizing (he got a Large) was perfect, not too snug or too baggy.
Just wore this in some pretty harsh winds, and it held up beautifully. The windproof shell is no joke; I didn't feel any drafts. This jacket is now my go-to for really cold mornings, much better than my old one.
