Ordered the XL - 44 thinking it would be a standard fit based on the description, but it runs much smaller than anticipated. The chest and shoulders feel very restrictive, almost like a slim fit. Comparing it to my other XL jackets, this one is significantly tighter, making it uncomfortable to wear. Ended up returning it.
This jacket looks really good, the vintage wash is perfect. However, the fabric is pretty rough and stiff, even after washing it once. It’s not as comfortable as I hoped for a daily wear item.
Love the Grateful Dead touches, especially the snaps.
The denim on this jacket is very thick and feels quite heavy. It’s not as soft or pliable as I'd hoped, even with the bleach wash. The collar is particularly stiff, digging into my neck after a short while. I was expecting a more comfortable, broken-in feel right out of the box, but this jacket requires a lot of work to get there, making it less enjoyable to wear than other denim jackets I own.
Got the M - 40, and the standard fit is spot-on. Not too boxy, not too tight, just right for layering. The Grateful Dead snap details are a fantastic touch without being over the top.
