Good for bread
It's a solid serrated knife, slices well, but you definitely need to hand wash it carefully.
A handy sidekick for smoothly slicing through anything soft and squishy or hard and crusty. Think: flakey baked goods and August-ripe tomatoes. With an ultra sharp full-tang blade made from premium German steel, and our grooved handle that guides your hand into the perfectly balanced hold, you’ll be slicing like a pro in no time.

This knife slices well, especially for bread. However, at 8 inches, I find it a little long for smaller items, making it feel less versatile than I hoped.
I've been using this for everything from baguettes to large roasts. The balance is excellent and the handle feels secure in hand. Definitely an upgrade from my previous general-purpose knife.
Never thought a slicing knife could make such a difference. This one handles crusty loaves and delicate pastries beautifully without crushing them. The balanced feel and comfortable handle, even with its resin material, make it a pleasure to use for extended prep. It’s far superior to my old utility knife.
While the blade is sharp and cuts well through softer foods, the fact that it's not dishwasher safe is a real drawback for me. It means I often put off using it if I know I'll be in a hurry to clean up. The Char color is nice, but the maintenance is a bit of a hassle compared to other kitchen tools.
