Good quality honing steel
This honing rod is a solid tool for the kitchen. My Damascus steel knives feel much smoother and cut cleaner after a quick session with this. The carbon steel feels durable and effective, exactly what I needed.
Keep knives sharp with our carbon steel honing rod. It’s normal for even our Japanese Damascus steel blades to feel less smooth over time. Weekly honing helps realign blade edges for optimal performance. A quick, careful swipe down the steel will restore knives’ edges, keeping them sharper for longer.

The rod itself does a good job of realigning my knife edges, especially on my older Chef's knife. It's a pretty standard length, easy enough to handle and store. My main issue is the green handle feels a bit slick if my hands aren't completely dry, which happens often in the kitchen. Also, it doesn't quite bring back the razor sharpness that a whetstone does, but it's good for in-between. Just wish the grip was more secure.
It's surprising what a difference weekly honing makes. My knives are cutting like new again, especially my HexClad santoku. This rod is easy to use and a simple addition to my routine.
Never realized how much my knives needed this until now. The carbon steel effectively realigns the edges, making my cutting tasks much easier. Simple to wipe clean and store when done.
