About this item
The clean, minimalist form combined with the natural textured surface make this mug a thing of beauty. The uniform diameter of Hasami mugs makes them stackable for easy storage. Made from a proprietary blend of clay and crushed stone from the historical village of Hasami in Nagasaki, Japan, Hasami Porcelain is crafted using methods that are over 400 years old. Unlike mass-produced porcelain, each piece derives unique character from the manual work to mold, glaze, and fire it. *Please note: Hasami products are handmade and hand-glazed, so there may be slight variations in color and finish on these products. Features: • Available in 13oz and 15oz • Smooth, matte finish • Dishwasher and microwave safe • Made in Japan

★★★★★
Exceptional craftsmanship
The natural texture of this mug is fantastic to hold. It's clear that a lot of care went into making each piece, and the stackable design is a real space saver in my small kitchen. I bought the 13oz size, and it’s perfect for my espresso machine.
★★★★☆
Solid mug, slight variation
The 13oz matte black mug is very sturdy and feels good in the hand. The color isn't quite as deep black as I expected from the photos, but it's still attractive.
★★☆☆☆
Disappointed with variations
My matte black mug arrived with a noticeable speckle pattern on one side, which wasn't consistent with the smooth finish described. It feels like I got a unique piece, but not in the way I'd hoped.

Beautifully made product
The texture on this mug is just lovely to touch. I appreciate the traditional methods used to craft it, and the matte black is a classic choice for my kitchen. My 13oz mug stacks perfectly with my other Hasami pieces.
