Handmade perfection
You can truly feel the artisanal quality in this mug; it's a substantial piece of work. The Malt glaze is unique and looks even better in person. It’s become my favorite mug for daily use.
The name makes you think of languid hours, maybe even crawling back into bed with one of them in your hand with a plan to finish that novel you’re reading, but really, it’s a mug for all hours, all days. The Sunday Morning Mug is slightly bigger than The Mug. Each is wheel-thrown in our Small Batch Studio then glazed by hand by Cade Hollomon-Cook. See our previous Small Batch Studio offerings (including the glazes of past Sunday Morning Mugs) here .

This mug has a beautiful hand-glazed finish and a very comfortable handle, making it a joy to use. My only minor complaint is a small, rough spot near the base of the mug, which is barely noticeable but prevents a perfect score. Overall, it's a lovely addition to my kitchenware.
The mug looked nice when it arrived in Nocturne, but it chipped badly after only a week of use. I was very careful with it, only hand-washing and never dropping it. For pottery, I expected much better durability than this.
The Malt glaze is absolutely stunning in person, with subtle variations that show the hand-thrown quality. It feels substantial and well-made, fitting comfortably in my hand even though it's bigger than my old mug. This mug makes my morning coffee feel like a true ritual.
The handle is very ergonomic and the pottery feels great.
