I purchased these because I liked the aesthetic for my home office, and they certainly look good on the magnetic base. However, the box cutter part of the handle isn't quite as effective as I hoped, sometimes requiring multiple passes for thicker cardboard. Also, the overall length of 6.3 inches feels a little short for some of the tasks I use them for.
These scissors cut really well and the gold finish is lovely. Good desk accessory.
The HMM Scissors are incredibly sharp, and the wide blades make precise cuts easy. I bought them for my crafting station, and they handle everything from cardstock to light fabric without issue. These scissors are definitely well-made. The stainless steel has a nice weight and feels substantial, not flimsy at all, and the gold color looks great on my office desk. The built-in box cutter is quite useful for online deliveries, saving me from hunting for a separate utility knife. My only minor complaint is that they are a little heavier than I expected, which can be noticeable during extended cutting tasks. Otherwise, they cut very smoothly.
