This 12-mil solar blanket is fantastic for our in-ground pool. It effectively heats the water using solar energy and drastically cuts down on evaporation. Plus, it's a great barrier for keeping leaves and other outdoor elements out of the pool.
We bought the clear version for our above-ground pool, and it's super easy to put on and take off. It significantly increases the water temperature, which is a huge plus. Also, it keeps out all the bugs and leaves effectively.
It did help warm the water, which was the main reason for buying it. However, the polyethylene material seems a bit thin in places, and I noticed a small tear developing near the edge after only a few months. Handle with care.
Heats the water and keeps evaporation down, exactly as described.
The clear cover works perfectly to heat the pool and keep it clean.
