Finally, I can power my outdoor Wyze Cam v3 without running a messy extension cord.
The concept of powering a Wyze cam from a light socket is really appealing for certain locations. I found the initial connection to my Wi-Fi a bit inconsistent and it took several attempts to get it paired with my existing system. Once it's connected, the power supply for my Cam OG is stable. The size is also a little clunky for some of my smaller light fixtures.
It was incredibly easy to set up my Wyze Cam v4 with this; just screw it in.
This socket is perfect for powering my Pan v3 camera on the back of the garage where I don't have an outlet nearby. The Wi-Fi connection has been solid and I haven't had any drops. I wish the unit itself was a bit more compact, as it sticks out from the fixture more than I expected. Still, it works reliably.
This has been great for adding a Wyze Cam v3 Pro to our front porch without needing to run new wiring. It just screws right into a standard E26 socket. The Wi-Fi signal is strong enough for reliable use, though it is slightly bulkier than anticipated.
