Limited control options

Hard to bend precisely
While it's flexible, getting really sharp, consistent bends is quite difficult. It tends to spring back, making intricate designs a challenge. The clips also don't help much with very tight angles.

Amazing decorative lighting
This rope light is a big step up for my bedroom decor. The flexibility meant I could easily curve it around my headboard and down the side of my dresser, creating a really unique effect. Being able to set different color zones for flowing gradients makes it look much more premium than other strip lights.
