I bought this for my new work laptop to get a more reliable and faster connection than Wi-Fi. It significantly boosts my network performance, especially when streaming large files or during video conferences. The build quality feels very sturdy.
I replaced an older Ethernet adapter with this one, and the difference in speed is clear. My file transfers complete much quicker now. The bus-powered design is convenient, not needing an extra power source.
The adapter performs as expected for speed, but it does get quite warm during extended use.
The aluminum enclosure gives this adapter a premium feel. It's compact enough to throw in my laptop bag without taking up much space. Setting it up was just plug and play on my Windows PC.
This adapter works perfectly with my MacBook Air. I needed a reliable wired connection for large file transfers, and the speeds are noticeably faster than my previous adapter. The braided cable also feels much more durable.
