The sound quality is okay, but I experienced persistent driver conflicts on my Windows PC.
JLab Epic Talk USB Microphone in Black is a professional-grade USB condenser microphone built for streaming, podcasting, recording, gaming, and remote work. Three 16mm condenser capsules enable four selectable directional patterns, 192kHz/24-bit resolution, and physical controls for gain, mute, and headphone monitoring - all in a plug-and-play USB package. Three 16mm condenser capsules work together to produce four selectable directional patterns via a dial on the microphone body. Cardioid captures sound directly in front of the mic - the standard choice for solo streaming, podcasting, and voiceover. Omnidirectional captures sound from all directions, suited for group conversations or room ambience. Bi-directional captures from the front and rear simultaneously, useful for two-person interviews. Stereo combines both left and right capsules for a wider, spatial recording suited for instruments and music. 192kHz sample rate and 24-bit bit depth deliver professional resolution well above the standard 44.1kHz/16-bit of consumer audio equipment, capturing finer detail and a wider dynamic range for post-production flexibility. Maximum SPL of 120dB means the mic handles loud sources without distorting. Microphone sensitivity sits at -37dB ±3dB with a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz. Physical gain control lets you set input level directly on the mic without opening software.

The sound quality is okay, but I experienced persistent driver conflicts on my Windows PC.
This microphone has been a revelation for my diverse audio needs. Whether I'm recording solo voiceovers, having a group meeting, or even doing some instrument recording, the four polar patterns cover everything. The 192kHz/24-bit resolution truly makes a difference in capturing nuanced sound. Setup was quick, just plugged it in and it worked.
It's a good microphone for most tasks like online meetings and casual voice recordings. The audio is clear. My only minor gripe is that it picks up a bit more background noise than I'd prefer, even in cardioid mode.
The audio quality itself is decent when it works. But the USB port on my unit feels very loose, and the connection frequently drops out if I accidentally bump the desk. It makes it unreliable for live streaming or important meetings, which is frustrating considering its professional-grade claims. I expected better durability for a microphone in this category.
The gain dial is far too sensitive and jumpy.
