The build quality of the wood is excellent, and it feels very robust. It's a good size for little hands to manipulate the doors. Some of the hinges were a bit stiff at first, making it tricky for my toddler to open without adult help. It's a nice learning toy after a bit of breaking in.
My children are fascinated by the hide-and-seek aspect of this toy. They enjoy guessing which animal will be behind the next door. It's a simple, classic activity that truly holds their attention.
The animals don't stay attached to the doors very well, which makes them fall out easily when moved.
Bought this for my niece's third birthday, and she absolutely loves it. She spends ages opening the doors and naming the animals. It's clear it's helping her fine motor skills and memory. The wood is smooth, and the magnets work perfectly to keep the animals secured inside the barn. Would recommend this charming farm.
This Melissa & Doug farm is exactly what you'd expect from the brand: high quality, engaging, and educational. My son enjoys the surprise element of the hidden animals and it truly holds his attention. It's built to last and the magnetic pieces are a smart design choice to keep everything together. A fantastic investment for learning and play.
