Engage little ones with this Melissa & Doug Pounding Bench that's beautifully constructed from high-quality, solid wood and child-safe materials. The classic little pounding bench features eight brightly colored pegs that play "peekaboo" as they go up and down. The pegs are non-removable and take turns showing their smiles while your toddler has fun using the sturdy, durable mallet. The toy is entertaining for kids while they get to practice naming the different colors of the pegs. It also helps promote eye-hand coordination, cause and effect, and fine motor skills. The wooden pounding bench makes a great gift for toddlers and preschoolers ages two and older for hands-on, screen-free play. For more than 30 years, Melissa & Doug has created beautifully designed imagination- and creativity-sparking products that NBC News called "the gold standard in early childhood play." Today, Melissa & Doug is proudly partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics to foster early brain development and help children build important life skills through play.

We appreciate the classic wooden construction; it feels very sturdy and safe for young children. The bright, non-removable pegs are a thoughtful design feature. Our toddler enjoys it for short bursts of play, though sometimes the pegs are a bit stiff to push down completely, which can be frustrating.
This pounding bench is absolutely perfect for my two-year-old. The solid wood construction ensures durability, and the colorful pegs instantly grab her attention. It's excellent for developing eye-hand coordination and understanding cause and effect without any screens.
The solid wood construction is impressive, and the colors are very appealing to children. My niece loves it, though sometimes the pegs require a pretty strong hit to move.
A simple, well-made toy that keeps my toddler entertained and learning.
This pounding bench is a hit with my 2-year-old. The non-removable pegs mean no lost pieces, which is fantastic for cleanup. It’s a simple, classic toy that fosters development and keeps them happy.
