My child enjoys the pet shapes and the concept is great for small kids. However, the paint on a couple of the pieces is already showing minor chips after only a short period of light use, which is a bit disappointing for a wooden toy.
My nephew received this for his second birthday and it's already a favorite. The wooden construction holds up well to toddler play, and he loves identifying all the different animals.
The animals are adorable and my daughter loves to play with them. However, some of the pieces don't fit as snugly as I expected into their spots on the board, so they can slide out easily if it's bumped.
This puzzle feels very well-made and sturdy. The fact that the pieces can stand up for pretend play adds another layer of fun for my son, encouraging his creative expression.
These chunky pieces are perfect for little hands to grab.
