The sponge itself is nice and soft, and I appreciate that it's natural. However, the size was a bit smaller than I anticipated for the price. We got this for our toddler who has very sensitive skin and it has been great. No irritation at all, which is a huge relief. It's definitely soft and creates a nice amount of lather. The only minor downside is that it feels a bit small in an adult hand, making it a little awkward to grip sometimes, but for a child it's perfect.
