The necklace itself is beautiful, and the engraving for my daughter's birthday was done perfectly. She was so happy with the 18K gold plated finish at first. However, after only a couple of months of consistent wear, the gold plating started to fade and show the silver underneath. It's a shame because it really is a pretty design, but I expected it to last longer without tarnishing so quickly.
