Since the beginning, like all GORUCK gear we built this Cadre Tac Hat from the ground up, with our patterns and our Specs + Materials using 500D CORDURA® on the main panels and military-grade mesh on the sides — to let a little breeze in, which is really nice in an Iraqi, and a Florida summer. There is no button on the top. This is intentional. There’s nothing to get in the way when you’re wearing hearing protection, and if you’ve ever got kids jumping all over you — it hurts less when they don’t have a button to hit into the top of your skull (IYKYK). The best hat for rugged use
