I purchased this thinking it would be a substantial towel that could also hold my things. The Single size felt very small when I tried to use it as a beach towel; it barely covered me. Also, the recycled microsuede, while fast-drying, just doesn't feel like a traditional towel. It's more like a very thin cloth, not fluffy at all.
The fabric is fast-drying, which is good, but it doesn't feel very soft or luxurious on the skin. It's more functional than comfortable as a towel. The tote feature works, but the strap feels a bit flimsy when weighted.
This tote/towel combo in Single size is fantastic for trips. It folds down so small and the recycled microsuede feels surprisingly good against the skin. I love that it doubles as a bag for souvenirs or wet swimsuits.
Dries incredibly fast and the Shibumi Fade is lovely, but the material feels a bit thin for a full-sized beach towel.
This towel tote is genuinely useful for packing light for travel thanks to how small it packs and its fast-drying nature. The Shibumi Fade is a subtle and attractive design. However, as an everyday towel, the recycled microsuede feels different than a standard towel; it's not as absorbent in a single swipe for me. The tote conversion works well, though.
