The mat arrived with an extremely strong, unpleasant rubber smell that has not dissipated even after weeks of airing it out. It's so potent it makes practicing difficult. Furthermore, it's incredibly heavy, making it impractical to carry around, which defeats the purpose for me as I take it to different classes. I really regret this purchase due to the overwhelming odor and weight.
I prefer a firmer mat, and this one delivers. It doesn't compress too much, giving a stable base for all my movements. The surface feels very durable, like it will last a long time.
I love how this mat stays completely flat and doesn't curl at the ends. The grip is consistent and reliable, making inversions feel more secure. It wipes clean very easily after use.
