The physical controls on the device are good, but the app connectivity can be frustrating. It frequently disconnects or struggles to find the device, which defeats the purpose of the WiFi feature. When it works, the cooking is fine, but the app experience drags it down.
The temperature seems to fluctuate slightly more than I'd like on longer cooks, especially with a full 5-gallon pot. It makes me a little nervous for delicate items, and I sometimes have to double-check with another thermometer.
I've made everything from eggs to salmon, and the results are consistently amazing. The flavor and texture are noticeably better than traditional methods. It’s an essential kitchen gadget now.
